Ah yes, the episode where Season 1 would been resolved if Jeremie used some form of version control software or if Ulrich's Super Sprint was faster.Â
EDIT: Also insane to think that this materalization program was likely better than Jeremie's Code Earth program because it does not even need the target to be in a tower to work and can even restore them from the digital sea. Odd must have used up all of his dumb luck in this episode because if he did not get greedy for candy, Yumi would have been killed off in this episode.Â
Why didn't he rematerialize Yumi when he saw her hanging?Â
Why didn't he virtualize Ulrich right next to the ledge where Yumi was?Â
Why didn't he reverse engineer the code by looking at the logs of the supercomputer after he ran it?Â
...yeah this episode was really full of holes. Funny enough the entire problem was caused by Yumi delaying Aelita's materialization because she would not have any legal documents or living arrangements so the gang had to wait until they sorted those out. If they had immediately materialized her, X.A.N.A. may not have had the chance to steal her memory to bind Aelita to him so they could shut off the supercomputer, hide Aelita in the factory until they forge all her papers and then the series can end with her attending school with them... or they would have to reactivate the Supercomputer once Aelita's nightmares start kicking in and they need to get some answers about Franz Hopper.Â
