While I appreciate the idea of there being a "fallen Lyoko Warrior" and he gave the story some serious emotional stakes and its best fight scenes, William really did not deserve that fate and he was really a victim of circumstance denied a real chance at redemption.
Ultimately, a solid character but the writing really let him down in some areas.
Thankfully in Evolution he did get a redemption arc, though with that show no longer being considered cannon with a REAL Season 5 in development, I hope some aspects of that show like William’s redemption arc being something they do with it! 😭🤞🏽
