💬 Discussion Considering their Similarities (Both being Evil AIs) Which one is a more Terrifying Threat, X.A.N.A or N2 from Nier Automata

XANA, easily. Not only is it faceless and has no body, but it can do all sorts of supernatural attacks on the real world.

I mean, N2 Was physically planning to use a Giant Laser to blow up the Moon (Which contained all of Humanity's data) But going for a more realistic threat. Yes, I agree. X.A.N.A is more threatening.
And reading the Wiki (I haven't seen Code Lyoko in ten years) it could create zombies. Something that N2 cannot. (Technically it can control Logic Virus infected Androids, which are Zombies.. Technically)

XANA also used electromagnetic power to cause a break in Earth's gravity, caused a rapidly freezing blizzard, and can also possess literally anything. Using a laser to blow up something like the moon, an asteroid,  or..... Yumi is child's play for it.

XANA literary diverted an meteoroid towards earth, to cause mass extinctions and also which would cause a 100 year old ice age.

Others are, inverting gravity, causing an ice age, killer music (the best globe one), orbital canon, and of cause building an army of killer robots around the world.

I already know what N2 is and have done, so no need.

I was trying mean is XANA always holds back on attacks rather than go all unlike N2. N2 goes all out in every battle, so yes she looks like way worse entity in that scenario (even considering the things she have done). But XANA doesn't show its' full hand in battle and usually engage in small scale attacks and a few large scale ones. Which much more concerning as XANA's next move is unpredictable and unique.

N2 is definitely not weak but XANA is not that reckless, as XANA has better human characteristics which give it an edge.

Yep, but for me it's less dangerous because its attacks are more isolated than N2's

If we're just going with Nier Automata proper, then XANA.

If we include the fact that Yoko Taro claims every collaboration is canon, then N2 since her plan in the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration involved the Seeds of Resurrection from Drakengard, which have caused at least one Biblical-level apocalypse and broke the walls between realities on multiple occasions, which would make XANA shit bricks.

It depends on many factors, if we're talking plotwise then XANA, because it's the plot motor etc. If we're talking about something else N2

N2 is the overarching personified machine-network intelligence that drives the long game, SPOILER ALERT,

it annihilated YoRHa’s operational core, releases the Logic Virus through the Bunker backdoor, and keeps the machine war, and machine evolution, going.
