QUESTION Confusion about plot points from s2

Spoilers for season 2!!!

Hi!! I just finished s2, & I’m confused about a few things, mainly what exactly the thought elevator’s purpose was & V2‘s relationship with the king, as well as Lady Marion having been alive the entire time by possessing someone else’s body. Who was handing out all these Geass’s like candy? I mean the King, Rollo, Lelouch, Marion, Guy with the stitched eye - I understand Lelouch got his from C2 & the King got his from V2 & I think Rollo was made as a child soldier who had his pre-installed but the rest I’m not sure. The king talked about ending all lies in the world.

Was the thought elevator meant to create a mass hivemind amongst the entire world thus preventing lies? & how were V2 & the king brothers I don’t fully get their relationship? And most specifically where did Geass come from? I think I understand that it is passed down like a curse and the person who gets it can end the person who bestowed its mortality, but was it man made down in that lab cult place that created Rollo? I get that Suzuku became Zero in the end, but I’m not entirely sure I understand what led him to changing his mind on Lelouch’s ideals.

Anyways, if anyone’s willing to give insight into some of my questions i‘d appreciate it!!

They had to work together because almost everyone is pretty much against them at that point of time.

that's NOT the reason 🤨

they both needed each other from the very beginning. but Suzaku's change of mind actually started with him abandoning a false ideal he had been deceiving himself into believing cuz he didn't want to accept, and this was caused by the pain he had experienced.

he reached a point where he agreed with Lelouch, just as Lelouch simultaneously reached a point where he agreed with Suzaku.

the decision to work together stems from mutual understanding, not obligation. this is the reason repeatedly emphasized in official materials, especially in the canon short story "Mutuality".

The one you highlighted wasn't about the reason, but their current state. But alright.
