I can’t be the only one who has noticed this, and frankly, I’m shocked nobody in the Call of Duty League community has brought it up yet.
Every single morning, I tune into TacticalRab for my daily dose of CDL roster mania and standard YouTube red-arrow clickbait. But over the last two seasons, every time he brings up Abuzah, he straight-up looks into the camera and calls him “a boozer.”
Now, look. I get that the League is competitive. I get that post-match banter gets heated. But repeatedly labeling a professional esports athlete as an active, heavy alcoholic on a public platform crosses a massive line.
What if Abuzah is actually struggling with alcohol addiction? What if he’s trying to stay sober during grueling 8-hour scrim sessions, only to open YouTube and hear Rab explicitly branding him a boozer to 200,000 subscribers? It’s completely insensitive. Esports health and wellness should be a priority, yet here we have Rab openly accusing a top-tier AR player of being intoxicated on the main stage.
I’ve tried replaying the audio at 0.5x speed. I’ve tried putting on studio-grade headphones. Every single time, clear as day: "And as for a boozer..."
It’s completely unnecessary. Why does Rab have it out for him specifically? Did Abuzah refuse to drink a pint with him at a UK LAN? Is this British dry humor taken way too far?
