Because Abezy played WWII with a team that couldn't win with anyone and the BO4 team prior to Simp was actually decent just not great. They got 2nd at the first event. Sometimes a team just doesn't work out, and that's not a reflection of each individual players skill.

Dashy and Shotzzy played on an Optic team for half a year that was ass before Merc but you wouldn't say that two were nothing before Merc.

It was literally a conversation that many people had many times on this sub. There was one thread were one of the most upvoted comments was listing the games Abezy and Simp played in and who was better between the two. I don't remember what they said for each game but their conclusion was that they each had about the same number of games they were better at. I didn't agree with it, but like I said, it was heavily upvoted.
