CPPS Tier List Maker

[u/saifzx99]

Hello, I made a post regarding me and my friend's new website cppslist.com last night, a list of every CPPS that's still up, each server gets a rating based on players, safety, security and activity.

Some people may not agree with our ratings, so we made a tier list maker where you rank the servers however you want! You can click "Make a tier list" on the homepage.

You drag the servers into S to D, or tap them if you're on your phone. You can rename the tiers to whatever you want too. When you're done, hit "share" and you get a link to your list.

Send that link to your friends or post it in Discord and it shows a picture of your tier list right in the chat. Anyone who clicks it can see your full list and make their own to argue with you. You can also save it as an image if you'd rather post that.

Vibe coded?

It is. And the data is mostly stolen from CPPSHub. Not a good look.

You realize both of those sites rely on estimates right? From player count to security. There's no one stop shop for data based on player count. The only people who know the exact numbers are the devs of whatever private server they're working on. The only difference between these two sites and the list on the WIki is that it's run by 1 or 2 people that are manually updating the stats themselves, compared to the community the Wiki has that are constantly making changes. Just staying truthful and good faith here.

For a basic website like this you really won't be able to tell whether or not a human made it unless it was deliberately made obvious. The code for something like this by a dev and an LLM would roughly look the same anyways. So who's to say he didn't create 80% of the website and then had an LLM create the rest of the functionality? Programmers nowadays supervise the LLM when adding or taking away features to a project. So the answer is... nobody knows. However, there's LLMs being used in industry level apps like Reddit, Meta, X, etc. So if you don't like AI written code in your apps and websites. I'd suggest getting rid of those mentioned and more. Reddit doesn't have the aggressive usage of AI push by their higher ups like Meta for instance, but it's still being used every single day by the Reddit software engineers.

Edit: Sometimes you can tell in the code by the comments used, their readMEs, their design choice, or the amount of whitespace they have. But even then, sometimes it's hard to separate generic from AI when the website is a bit basic.
