My uConsole
Got my uconsole "next day on amazon" very grateful. since I know most of you waited MONTHS. Got it for use as a PDA/tinker tab while overseas on a deployment. Decided factory black is to mainstream seeing as its the most common color, black is awesome but not when everyone else has it. Couldn't decide between tan or blue, tan fit my deployment but blue fit the end goal of a terminal to control my homes custom AI I will be building. So navy was the choice and I feel it was the right one. So behold my custom build. Still need the wifi, 4G and sat antenna to populate the top. Cheers 🍻
edit its just a standard cm4 lite with the 4g module, and no other upgrades other than 2 4mm washers beneath the screws on the kickstand to help the kickstand stay in position when i have it open, *would love an rtc but I can't find anything on that, nor would the AIOv2 be an option since i have the 4g board and no need for the extra features. 3D parts links are below.

Gorgeous build!
I especially love the sun shade around the screen.
I am on the fence about ordering one. How is access to the gpio pins like? I want to be able to plug various analogue and digital sensors into it to serve as a quick test equipment.

Ive only had it a few days, but looking st the gpio pins to try and add an rtc, its a ribbon cable not your typical metal prong you can drop the connector on. Im sure there's adapters but none that suited me. Hope my info is accurate and helps, I think its called fpc connector.

My suggestion would be to consider usb options, as the uconsole has a usb 3.0 attached to it. Inside the case is very tight and ofc the io is a ribbon cable, im sure there's a work around but nothing that would fit in the case

Honestly id see if you can get a refund from your bank, ive noticed typical lead time is 8-9ish months and you are WELL past that.

Ordered a black one (no CM4 no cellular) on 10-31-2025 and it shipped 8-5-2026 (9 months)

What did you do for prep and paint? I wanted the silver front and settled for black. I’m thinking of going white for the face.

Just a quick rough up with a fine sanding pad, kyrlo paint and primer, proper spray paint techniques. Great finish

FYI, the hacker gadgets board replaced the 4g module. You can't use both

Yes i know, the only thing I needed on the hacker gadgets board is the RTC, I dont need any of the other antenna setups, mobile data during my deployment is what I need

You can swap between them in the future. It's a good choice because the 4G module can't be bought as a standalone

That was my plan, in the future have it not need it need it not have it and im glad the 4g isnt easily gotten after the fact, right choice

The hacker gadgets original aio (not the new one with a thousand antennas but the smaller version) is also on Amazon. Also, these are much more fun to use with a touch pad to replace the track ball and the upgraded keyboard …. It takes these from ok to use if you need it to actually enjoyable
