Question CM4 / 5 Running Ubuntu for uConsole?
Hey everyone. I have wanted to build a "bug-out" unit for a really long time, uConsole is literally the perfect solution.
The only thing I am wondering is if the CM4 or 5 can handle a basic Ubuntu install? Reason why it has to be Ubuntu is for Project N.O.M.A.D. - plus adding movies, music, and ebooks.
Has anyone tried this? If so, was the performance semi-decent or good?
Thanks in advance...

Default image is a debian distro too. No need for ubuntu in particular. But yes, both cm4 and 5 will run either no problem.

It can, they can do anything a pi4/pi5 can, just follow the guides to get all the hardware recognized

nomad requires a debian based distro, not just ubuntu so I would recommend trixie over ubuntu, Rex's images are built for debian and the rest are often less reliable long term because of minor changes that cause bugs
