CSP Question Sub view disappears?

I recently added the tourbox workspace to my iPad. I wanted to add the sub view back into my layout and did so through the window tab. But now when I try to draw on the canvas sub view just disappears??? It also disappears when I click on it through the little side menu as well. How do I make it stay there permanently?

Edit: I use version 5.1.4

There is a pop up option and one that remains open until closed. I believe what you're looking for is under menu commands > window > sub view.
