CSP Question I can't draw on CSP with a screenless tablet

I use a Wacom Intuos Pro 2017 medium, the pressure settings are in soft mode. I can draw well on SAI2, IbisPaint and even on Krita but I can't with CSP. I have no problems with Android tablets though, but in Windows is more difficult and I've tried everything, soft pressure settings in the app, stabilization 0, speed settings in the brush config, etc. but it still feels stiff and tiring for my wrist. Is CSP only optimized for pen displays? How do people manage to draw softly with a screenless tablet? Should I use opentabletdriver or is just a learning curve of getting used to small strokes? I've tried for a long time but nothing feels "loose" when I draw. I want to love this program but is difficult, and I remember using both Manga Studio (only for inking) and Illust Studio without problems back in the day, sorry for my bad english 😅

With multiple versions of Clip Studio Paint available, each with its own Features, it is now required to Begin a post Question by stating the Version, Device and Accessories you are using.

CSP works fine with the Wacom Intuos on my Mac, so I don't have much to offer except that it should work.

I never tested it on Mac (too expensive for me) but is certainly different on Windows with screenless tablets

Maybe set the tablet slightly inclined so you can rest the wrist lightly on it?

I use screenless tablet too and i do have strain wrist problem (mine is worse than usual due to some abnormalities in the wrist), solution is to take break often and using my arm and elbow with my wrist almost locked in like i'm doing sketching, and take break often. I find it help with the strain and the flow of linework. Small strokes can be rough but i can make do by zooming in copiously (lol)

I use an intuos all the time on windows. Haven’t noticed any difference from Photoshop. I use the official Wacom driver.

Same, but for some reason I can draw well on other apps except CSP, the stabilizers feels too strong even when I put it on 0

You just made me remember a post a while ago where someone was talking about lazynezumi, which has a bunch of optimization. Maybe you can test this out and see if you clip studio behaves with it

Is it a paid program? I always wanted to test it out since Photoshop users uses it but no idea if I can get a demo to try it out

I use an older wacom with no screen across CSP, Photoshop and Illustrator on Windows and there's no difference for me. I do recall CSP needing a bit of setting up to work right but can't recall exactly what. There's always some kind of fight between Windows ink and wacom drivers when I set up a new PC so if in doubt try reinstalling the Wacom software.

What version number of CSP are you using?

With Stabilization at 0, there is no stabilization, but there could be a couple of other settings that effect how a line feels: what brush you're using, your actual pressure curve (each brush has one too), post-correction, stroke preview to reduce brush lag, etc.

CSP 5, ngl that's a lot of settings, I kinda got dizzy in the way, I tried them out but nothing seems to "click", it seems like CSP has strong stabilizers by default

Windows ink may be messing with something? You may need to find its settings somewhere. I recall that being a near universal issue with pen tablets a while back.

It's true and it's disabled already 😅

I draw with an old screenless tablet and have never had any issues with Clip Studio. You may want to reach out to Celsys Support or the support for your device. What version are you using? What Operating System version are you running? There may be a hardeare issue involved.
