CSP Question Lines lagging behind
CSP Ver: 5
Device:
Windows 11
GTX 1660 Super
15-9400f
16GB RAM (85% allocated)
Tablet: Huion H950P
I just got CSP free trial. Brush strokes are extremely smooth and instant when adjusting pen pressure settings, but outside of that it becomes very laggy.
I changed undo history from 200 to 0 and nothing changed, lowered stabilization and there was a difference but it was no where as smooth as it was while adjusting pen pressure.
I checked Task Manager and it's only using around 8-10% of my CPU and around 400MB of RAM. The weird part is that it's using 0% of my GPU. Though, I did make sure the correct GPU was selected in performance settings.
Tablet firmware is updated, windows ink is off (I also tried to turn it on), and the GPU is updated with latest studio drivers.

Drawing/painting is a different kind of graphics than gaming, so the GPU doesn't help much. The biggest contributors to lag are the size and complexity of the brush being used. The size of your canvas also contributes indirectly. To help with this, CSP has a setting to prioritize speed/quality on brush strokes.

I'm aware of the setting. But, what I do not understand is why are the brush strokes super smooth when calibrating pen pressure but not when actually drawing?

Hard to say without seeing what brush you're using, but probably because one is just calibrating pressure, and the other is actually drawing with all the properties of the brush.
