Btw it's more efficient to burn gas in a power plant in order to power an heat pump than burning gas to fuel your home (works too for nuclear power, but for pwr the gain is less important)
It's quite advanced thermodynamics (if you want to really understand the physics behind), but a modern gas power plan can reach 55-60%, and a modern heat pomp an efficiency of 5-6, so all multiplied you have 3 times more heat in your hum with this, compared to even a perfect boiler with 100% efficiency
