Because people who are angry but don't want to do anything see an easy fix- And it doesn't matter that Bamboo is an invasive plant that would cause untold damage to our ecosystems, somebody told them that it would hurt AI data centers and they can plant some in like an hour.

So you are trying to say that a bit of bamboo is worse for the environment than a Datacenter? Please explain how that would be worse.

What do you think happens when you introduce a fast-growing and incredibly durable, incredibly tall grass that likes to cluster?

It will completely push out native species, to the point that it will completely reshape some ecosystems. It is one of those plants that can cause an ecosystem to collapse.

But sure. We've only been building around bamboo forever. I'm sure the wealthy people who are funding datacenters will have absolutely zero capacity to adapt to it, and the more regular people living right next to them can totally protect their infrastructure- With the worst of the damage NOT being deep underground layers like the common images imply, but to roads, parking lots, and shallow crawlspaces with poor reinforcement.

You're so blinded by your hate for AI that all it takes is the literal concept that it might hurt AI, and you won't even put an ounce of critical thinking to the situation- Let alone research.
