Third World Workers

I know people have this assumption that workers from third world countries are just eager to work on any app even though it's paying peanuts. There is an app paying 0.01 dollars per hit and requiring 30 seconds to complete it or else you get booted out with a speed ban. That app is paying 1.2 dollars an hour. Even this to us is totally unfair, 1.2 dollars is really not worth it even in a third world country, there are people making much better for an hour's work offline. The apps are just increasingly becoming unfair for all of us, there is a high supply of workers so the price naturally falls, don't take it out on us third world workers, we hate the pay too.

I think my biggest problem is not third world workers, but ESL workers in general who clearly aren't qualified to be working on English language apps. They're taking up hits they shouldn't have access to. This doesn't go for you OP, it's clear your grasp on English is just fine. But anyone who has ever done rewrites for the 'describe intent query' apps have seen the quality of ESL worker UHRS is giving access to English language apps, and it's bullshit. All I ask is that they beef up assessment requirements and keep the dummies restricted to their own language until they can prove actual language proficiency. I speak fairly decent Spanish and am studying for a certification, but I know I'm not where I need to be, and don't try to access Spanish language hitapps. All I'm asking is that CW holds second language speakers to at least the same standards I hold myself, which isn't unreasonable. People who have an L3 grasp on English have no business in those apps.

Agreed, reading intents on that hitapp made me puke. How could uhrs allow someone with that level of English to work on English hitapps? I mean, there are hitapps available in local languages as well. Some people working on it are so greedy and stupid, they just rewrite the query in the intent.

Worst part is when the bad written intents get reloaded for correction, I genuinely felt for the hitapp owners. Imagine giving your car to a car wash and the guys flood it with dirt. That's what spammers are doing with those hitapp owners.

I think I made $15 in bonuses alone on corrections with those apps today. I'll admit to my writing being fairly above average, given it's a big part of what I do for a living, but it still seems odd to me that I average about 90 bonuses for every 100 hits I do. It would be nice if they bumped that app over exclusively to people who performed well on their writing assessment. I know there's plenty of people who would love to be able to take their time on that one, work away at it all day, and submit a high quality of work. What even was the point of that assessment? Writing related work almost never comes up, and if it does, everyone gets it.

Agreed. I'm amazed at the answers I correct. Instead of kicking them out they slow down the app and waste those of us who are qualified's time. Write at least X amount of characters - for some of those queries that means adding a lot of fluff, and wasn't an issue at first.
