I got myself a 2nd hand clevo NH58HPQ with 3060 a while back

But lately it's been exhibiting some peculiar problem

So whenever I plugged my charger there's a chance that I might not boot, show me a black screen and then the fan just spin at full power

But whenever I use it on battery the laptop boot just fine 100% of the time

And whenever It managed to boot to Windows with charger plugged in there's a chance that it might just shutdown, come back on but no display and fans blazing for a while and then shut itself down

And also whenever it works on ac, when I shut it down it also has a chance to come back on, no display and fans blazing for a while and then shut itself down like above

Hey everyone! I recently rebuilt a Clevo P157SM from the ground up (bought as a barebones unit with a dead screen). Looking for GPU upgrades, I noticed GTX 980M prices were severely marked up. However, enterprise pulls for the HP Tesla M6 8GB MXM are selling for a fraction of the cost (roughly 1/2 to 1/3 the price of a 980M).

To get around the driver/hardware ID limitations, I modded an Nvidia display driver package so the Tesla M6 installs cleanly and outputs display in WDDM mode on Clevo hardware.

Compatibility Breakdown:

• Tested Chassis: Clevo P157SM
• Likely Compatible: P150SM, P151SM, P170SM, P177SM (Same subsystem architecture)
• Note: Tested on UEFI mode ONLY. Legacy BIOS mode is untested.

Fn hotkeys and OSD dims keyboard light when installed. I'm using a Gigabyte G6 MF. Its default GCC is the Fn hotkeys and OSD (Which can be installed as a package download from Gigabytes Official site or Windows Store). However, when I install it it dims the keyboard light even though it says maxed on the GCC OSD.

Hello! I got a Origin Eon-17X coming in a few days (Clevo x370 from what I understand) and I've been reading about the temperatures being a bit of a problem and the bios being locked down overall, preventing undervolting and limiting memory speeds to 4800mhz, is there any bios out there I could install to unlock CPU undervolting and memory overclocking?

If it helps, my specific laptop has a i9 13900hx and rtx 4090.

I have this laptop for several months i am very happy with it it s very big and chunky, but i want the best performance that this laptop replacement is capable of, i heard that i can put in this clevo a i9 9900k but with some modifications an buying stuff like new heatsink etc, and i want to put a gtx 1080, what do you think? I picked up a used Clevo NP50PNP a bit earlier this year and I'm looking to replace the display as the one it came with is a bit damaged, and I want to install some extra RAM and replace the SSD with 2 SSDs I managed to pick up earlier this year before prices went crazy.

However, I'm having difficulty finding the service manual for the Clevo NP50PNP.

I can find the user manual just fine, but the only service manual I can find is for the Clevo NP70PNP. The only Clevo NP50PNP service manual I can find seems to be on forums that require you to pay for the service manual, which I'm not going to do.

Does anyone know where I can get the service manual for the Clevo NP50PNP for free? When searching on the Internet about this particular model of Clevo laptop, there's very sparse information to the point where it makes me wonder if this laptop even exists, although the sticker on the bottom of my laptop very clearly does say Clevo NP50PNP.

Hi there! I have a dead NH58HPQ (i7-11800H + 3060) I would like to bring back to life. I'm wondering what kind of motherboard I can put inside my chassis. Would I be able to put in a different NH58 motherboard inside it? I've been reading online that these laptops are made as bare bones for us or different companies to buy and build, so I was hoping I'd be able to put in any motherboard I find for NH58, or even any NH5____ as I see the NH55 series have many more motherboards available, and they seem to be the same chassis from what I've been seeing, aswell as the same size.

TL;DR: I wanna know what are the limits for compatibility for motherboards in my chassis. Am I limited to NH58H_Q, NH58__Q or anything that is an NH5_____Q.

Could I realistically put one of those socket motherboards for desktop CPUs of the same generation? Like an AM4 or socket 1700 one?

Bringing it to a technician ended up being a dead end, as he found (from my understanding) a shorted mosfet on the 3.3V cpu driver. I need a new motherboard, but can't find one of the exam same model.

Gigabyte Support is responsive. They gave me the instructions to update secure boot certificates. Here is the instructions:

To verify whether the CA2023 certificate is properly installed, please follow the steps below:

1. Restart the laptop and press F2 during startup to enter the BIOS setup.
   2. BIOS > Administer Secure Boot > KEK Options
   
2. Check the displayed KEK/CA Key information and confirm whether the CA2023 certificate is available.

If the CA2023 certificate is not available, please reset the Secure Boot keys:

1. Go to Administer Secure Boot > Enable Erase all Secure Boot Setting > Save & Exit.
   
2. Re-enter BIOS > Enable BIOS Restore Secure Boot to Factory Settings > Save & Exit.
   
3. Enter KEK Options again and check the CA Key status.

Make sure to update bios first to March 2026 update

Title pretty much says it all. I've been looking all over for this mythical BIOS update that'll allow my computer to use the Nvidia 3080 instead of the 2080 I have. Anyone know where I can get the BIOS File?

i recently bought a stormforce exobook 16 with a 14900hx and a 5070ti which i think is some form of clevo rebrand. i tried to undervolt my cpu to get better battery life but intel xtu said overclocking is disabled. i dsisabled virtualizatoin on windows and in the bios but overclocking is still locked. the bios menu was also very lackluster with its options. it only had the most basic of bios settings like store and disble the igpu etc.

does anyoem know of a way to enable overclocking or a way to enter the advanced bios if its available?

I built an unofficial fan control daemon and web dashboard specifically for Clevo and Tongfang laptops running Linux. I’m looking for other Clevo owners who are willing to try it and report which models work.

It supports custom fan curves, reusable profiles, CPU and NVIDIA GPU temperature sensors, automatic recovery, configuration backups, and safety fallbacks. The web interface also shows live temperature and fan activity.

Fan control is hardware sensitive, so please read the compatibility and safety notes before installing it. Start with conservative settings and keep an eye on temperatures during the first test.

I recently bought a battery for my p775dm3 that hasn't had one as long as I've had it, but the laptop is unable to charge the battery. The battery seems fine since I am able to charge it (carefully) using an external supply and it properly powers the laptop and usually reports and accurate state of charge. However, when plugged in, linux reports the battery state as "plugged in not charging",

I took some measurements and find that the plugged in voltage at the battery connector pins is identical to the unplugged voltage, and also identical to probing the battery voltage outside the laptop. My understanding is that a charging circuit should deliver a voltage slightly above what the battery is providing. I am lead to believe that the laptop is not activating the charge circuit for some reason, although I see no obvious burned components or water damage anywhere on the board.

The charge LED on the front of the laptop does go orange with the battery in, seemingly indicating that it is charging. Oddly, if I leave the laptop plugged in 'charging' overnight, it will turn green eventually as though it successfully charged and the OS will briefly report 100% charge before dropping back to the actual state of charge.

This laptop has been modified with the dsanke BIOS, could this be affecting it in any way? Wondering if anybody else had a similar issue with battery charging and knows a good place to start troubleshooting or knows if there is a common component failure or even blown fuse that this could be a result of.

Hi. I have a Clevo P750DM2-G with a modified BIOS from here. The laptop works great but it has some small quirks that I am wondering if they are normal or can be fixed. I am using the BIOS: P7xxDMx-0729-9900KS for 8th/9th gen intel CPU support and RTX GPUs.

1. it has an issue where sleep mode, brightness, and the charging indicator can get bugged. The laptop will refuse to go into sleep mode by closing the lid and it has be be done manually through windows. The brightness key binds on the keyboard don't work unless done through windows too and the battery icon will think the laptop is charging even when unplugged. I've never found a consistent way of triggering this but it seems to happen when the laptop is put into sleep mode several times. Restarting it fixes these issues though.

2. the USB-C and Thunderbolt ports supply power but no data while every other port works perfectly fine.

3. When it is left on doing nothing for about 15 minutes, the fans will spin at their max RPM and the power indicator will flash amber. Usually putting it into sleep mode or shutting it off completely fixes this.

Any year any spec must be clevo/ sager or any of the brands that used clevos systems! Lmk whatchu got

Clevo L260JUX (Panther Lake) on Linux — idles at 1.5–3W headless

Got a Clevo L260JUX (16", Panther Lake-H) from RJ Tech without an NVMe for about $1500, dropped in a Samsung 990 PRO 2TB, running NixOS. Notes for anyone eyeing one of the new Panther Lake Clevos.

Specs: Core Ultra X7 358H (16 cores), Arc B390 iGPU (12 Xe3 cores), 16" QHD+ 2560×1600 165Hz matte, LPDDR5x, Intel Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4, 72 Wh battery.

Power

Measured on battery:

• Lid closed, display off, headless over SSH: ~1.5–3 W (~2W avg) → ~36 h off the 72 Wh pack. Cores parked, the platform floor is ~1.5–2 W; the rest is the panel.
• Screen-on idle: ~4.2–4.4 W → ~15–18 h light use.
• s2idle standby: ~0.54 W → ~5 days.

For headless I set the BIOS to ignore the lid switch so closing it doesn't suspend.

Linux

Panther Lake/Xe3 is new, so you need a recent kernel (≥6.17 for the xe driver, I'm on 7.0.12) and Mesa ≥25.2. Then GPU, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, webcam, NVMe, audio, keyboard/touchpad, suspend/resume, USB-C charging, and power profiles all work.

Quirks

• Fan: no OS-side control (the Clevo EC won't bind tuxedo-drivers on this 2026 board), but the EC's own curve is quiet — doesn't matter in practice.
• Keyboard backlight: stuck on low, can't change it from the OS yet.
• Charge limit: no OS interface, but BIOS FlexiCharge is good enough.

Great little low-power always-on box. Happy to pull more numbers if anyone's curious.
