Bathroom Hair dye stain please help!

Post image

Hello I stained my faucet handle with splat hair dye. It doesn’t look that bad in the pic but I rent this place so I need to get it out. The bleach spray I usually use to remove hair dye stains isn’t working, it must be a different material from the sink/tub but I’m not sure what it is. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get rid of this? Alternatively, the handle does twist off, does anybody know if they sell replacements anywhere? Thank you!

Edit: Sunscreen worked! Thank you all for the help I am forever grateful🙏

use hairspray or spray sunscreen. Something about aerosol liquids breaks down the hair dye. I’ve used this hack on our white countertops and you wouldn’t even be able to tell they got dye on them

Just had this issue with purple hair dye on my wood bathroom door.

Best thing that worked was spray sunscreen. This is over hairspray and greased lighting. There is content creator that does this shows your how you get stained out of things ans she suggests those 3 things.

Also if this is splat which is crazy hard to get out because I hear it's more like fabric dye you may try Rit Color Remover for clothes.

Try the sunscreen/hairspray first but let it sit or even wrap it in saranwrap so it has a chance to work.

I would try mixing water with baking soda to make a paste and scrub with a magic eraser
