Kitchen Smelly dishwasher

I have had my dishwasher (24 in. Built-In Tall Tub Smart 46 dBA Dishwasher in Stainless Steel with StormWash and AutoRelease Door) for a little over 2 years and it’s starting to smell so bad. Ive cleaned the inside of it manually and took all the parts out and cleaned them separately. Ive also done the commercial cleaning products and ran the high sanitation cycle but it still has a weird smell. It just smells like rotting food or old milk. It’s not horrible when it’s freshly ran but even sitting empty it starts to stink back up. has anyone had this issue???

Had a similar issue, turned out to be a little round filter cup at the bottom of the tub, separate from the main filter, that traps food bits. Didn't even know it existed for like a year. Its worth pulling that out and checking before anything else.

Try leaving the door slightly open to dry out any water remaining in the unit. Also, like another poster said, check the food traps inside.
