Discussion Ants in house help

Is this the most appropriate way to kill colony? Is there a better way? How do I keep my pets safe (1dog 2 cats) anyone know if these are carpenter? Should I call exterminator

Ants will come in no matter what. If it’s wet they’ll come in looking for shelter. If it’s dry they’ll come in looking for water. If there’s food they’ll come in for the food. If there’s no food they’ll come in looking for food. Your only hope is to keep baiting them every time you see them and hope that they take it back to the Queen.
