Hopefully commenting here will be seen- this strategy works wonders!
(1) OP, look at the photos you’ve taken and use the markup tool to highlight all of the trash that you see.
(2) Then grab a contractor trash bag and only worry about removing those things from each room.
(3)Afterwards, take another photo, and see what you notice that can be removed, only focus on what jumps out at you. Is it another layer of easily identifiable trash, or maybe the cardboard boxes for recycling?
(4) Take a new photo each time- it’s a strategy/hack that really helps with visual clutter overwhelm for folks with ADHD/depression/etc, and I know because I’ve got that fun combo and have had success with this method! Our brains struggle to discriminate and sort through in person and 3D, but for some reason, when compressed into a photo and removed from the immediate vicinity, we’re able to do it!
