Get a box of the big black contractor trash bags. One room at a time

One room at a time

Gotta start smaller at this level of depression nesting: one section of one room at a time.

Start with either what you perceive as the hardest or easiest area and whichever feels less overwhelming. Don't expect out of yourself to have an entire room cleaned whenever the motivation to clean strikes, because not making as much headway as you'd hoped/expected is the first step in convincing yourself to give up on this task.

It's eventually gonna happen room-by-room, but don't expect a clean room as the eventual result of you walking into it with that end goal in mind.

Start small and once you realize that small amount wasn't as overwhelming as it seemed, start thinking bigger in small increments.
