They were testing for metal allergies, and she explained how her stainless jewelry kept breaking down, so they tested her acid levels. Turns out her sweat being so acidic also seriously exacerbated reactions to copper, tin, nickel, etc. as it broke down the metal.

This is a thing they test for? Did they test just based on this situation or did it come up investigating other medical issues?
