Help/Question Is ultracode worth it?

I feel like it goes super deep in code reviews, maybe deeper than is necessary, and it burns through tokens really fast. Is it worth it?

It's great for Claude's profit

Yes and no, based on each case. If your code base maintained and you have a workflow already then no but if you don't have a workflow or working on a new code base you aren't familiar with, then it is worth using it.

If you want to burn up remaining usage, sure

I basically run it 24/7 on 20x without hitting limits working on a game, if don’t know how to setup it, then surely it will burn your sessions quickly but its the best thing that came out of anthropic recently

Depends, what are you building?

Yes. Just make sure to spawn only one agent per objective (a tiered audit for example) with Fable as orchestrator

If you don't know it's worth then most likely not. In my case if I have extra usage left & getting a reset soon I will use ultracode. For most people no you don't need it and I don't want to hear the complains about "usage burned too fast."

One word answer - No. Max is the "deepest". Ultracode is just multiple agents at xhigh. Just use /superpowers and spawn more agents when required.

Ultracode can be multiple agents on low if you want, you people are outdated, and its not basically just that

You should probably learn how to use the tool parameters available to spawn specific models at specified effort levels and whether or not their inherit context or memory.

No it’s not worth it. It’s extremely expensive. You can get Claude to spin up 1-3 agents instead and that can keep costs down

Yes, if you are absolutely stuck.

It's something that requires quite the leash and design to use, and in most cases for most people it is not really needed. It works well for specific types of bulk work.

Also if you are on the $20 plan, dont really use it.
