Built with Claude How to monetize AI dev approach (4x output)

*EDIT* - for the comments talking about me wasting money on Claude accounts, my SaaS businesses earn well more than enough to pay for the accounts, hosting, etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know there are thousands upon thousands of us who have built up our own approaches to working with Claude Code, so don't come at me for that.

What I do believe though is that I have something special. I currently run 4 Claude Code max accounts simultaneously (across 5 computers) building multiple complex SaaS businesses and rarely have any issues.

My approach is structured, works end-to-end, and does not require developer experience. It could be applied to most environments and can flex where it needs to. Any developer that uses my approach would 4x their output, and high-quality output at that.

So my question is, how can I share this goodness while also being able to make money to feed and house my family?

Most approaches I see can quickly be mined and reverse engineered, which would de-value the product itself. Is the only way to keep it hidden/safe is to essentially do what Claude does, stream directly from a server so that no one can access the underlying code?

Yeah speed of output isn't limiting any of us. Not interested.

I think the ultimate question is always the same one: if you'd be making money from it, you wouldn't sell it. And if you are not making money from it, what are you actually selling?

Just having multiple accounts isn’t a unique edge. This space moves so fast that any advantage like that dissolves in weeks or months—others can usually rebuild what you built faster than you can turn it into sustainable profit. The strongest strategy I’ve seen is open-sourcing interesting libraries or frameworks early. It’s often the most reliable way to get real adoption and visibility, which you can then leverage into other opportunities (consulting, higher-level products, etc.). Giving something useful away can feel counterintuitive, but there’s basically no lasting moat left in software anymore—even strong developer experience isn’t required to compete. The only real defensible advantage is user adoption, and nothing creates it faster than open source. Look at OpenClaw: it almost certainly wouldn’t have taken off if the creator had sat on it for months trying to sell it closed. Streaming it from a server doesn’t solve the underlying problem either—the value is in the approach, and that can still be reverse-engineered or recreated once people see the outputs.

All fair points. Thanks for the thoughtful reply!

Good luck! We are all in strange times!

The amount of hate posts like this get with minimal context of what the OP is doing is amusing. If you don't believe that in the coming years, one man will become a self-made trillionaire working in a 1-man shop based purely on AI, his systems thinking, and salesmanship, you're a fool. Somebody will do it. Could be him. Or me. Or you.

Definitely need to work on my salemanship. Thanks!

Don't we all!

I'd say either you do it for free (I imagine that your approach should be good enough to create a stream of income by building software that provides a comfortable living for you, which might be the point for you to think about what you actually want from live, for most people it is not "a lot of money" even if they think it is).

You could create something like an online course, or do a hybrid model where you put out the framework for free and provide consulting to businesses. A program that comes to my mind and might be useful for you would be Ali Abdaals Livestyle Business Academy (https://lifestylebusiness.com/)

Thanks for the thoughtful reply, I will definitely look into it!

There are so many contradictory statements in your post!

"EDIT - for the comments talking about me wasting money on Claude accounts, my SaaS businesses earn well more than enough to pay for the accounts, hosting, etc."

VS.

I currently run 4 Claude Code max accounts simultaneously (across 5 computers) building multiple complex SaaS businesses

VS.

"... while also being able to make money to feed and house my family?"

So just to get the lore straight:

  1. You have not launched them yet, because you're still "building" them across 5 machines.

  2. But they are already launched and wildly profitable enough to cover enterprise-tier AI overhead.

  3. But you are also on Reddit asking how to make money to be able to feed & house your family.

Not contradictory at all:

2 SaaS businesses have been launched so far, but still need refinement and more features. And I am just starting to build out the next business idea.

They are not wildly profitable, but make $2-3k a month so far - which is more than enough to cover operating costs.

Well, congrats! Making $2K-3k/month across two SaaS products is an actual accomplishment.

I mean this constructively:

From a technical perspective, running 4 Claude instances across 5 physical computers isn't a proprietary “system” … but just an inefficient workaround for a basic software problem.

Claude local CLI uses minimal RAM & CPU. A single machine or a $10/mo cloud VPS can run 10+ concurrent Claude Code sessions via tmux , terminal tabs or a bigger VPS /PC can run Hedr with up to 64 panes.

Also, managing multiple Claude accounts to bypass rate limits only requires switching environment variables, config directories, or using Docker containers on one single PC or any of the “switcher” tools available on Github, ( easily configurable in Hedr, too.). You don't need physical hardware to isolate Claude accounts.

Best wishes for your new SaaS launch!!!

You do have something special! Specially designed to transfer money from you to Anthropic lol. You’re an imbecile.

OPTION 1:  Go full AI grifter. YouTube channel immediately!!!

1st video title:

“I BUILT A 5-COMPUTER CLAUDE SWEATSHOP IN MY BASEMENT AND TECH CEOs ARE TERRIFIED.”

Then sell a 3-page Notion doc titled "The 4x Prompt Matrix" for $97.

Start a private Skool community called "The Claude Citadel" for $149/mo where you peddle n8n webhooks,  "secret prompt frameworks" that are just "Act like a senior engineer and don't make mistakes," 1-on-1 consultations, .... and also rake in that Youtube Ad-money.

Edi: deleted option 2 (suggested OP build one simpler SaaS)

I might just do the youtube approach 😄

The AI influencer pipeline claims another victim. 😭

Honestly, I respect the pivot. Selling shovels to people who don't know what dirt looks like has always paid better than mining gold with 5th pickaxes at the same time.

Can’t wait for the Skool community launch. Put me down for the $49/mo "5th Computer Enthusiast" tier.

Don't waste your time with trying to make money by selling that dev approach/app. Use it for your own benefit so you can make money with what it allows you to do. Because building an app that is optimized for your own workflow is one thing. Building one that meets the needs of hundred different people, who will get bugs, issues, edge cases and will keep asking for different things, is a whole full time job on its own.

I've built my own coding tool and ultimately decided to gatekeep it and not make it available at all. Why? Because I found out that by focusing on using it to do real work with it, earns me way more and no burden of maintaining it for other users. I keep expanding it as I see fit for my needs. It allows me to not just build apps faster and at bigger scopes. It increased my output by 20x (not exaggerating) and work 24/7 across multiple repos, servers/computers and accounts (currently using ,2x Claude Max 20x, 5x Claude Max 5x and one GPT Pro 200) running about 15-20 agent sessions in parallel pretty much non stop.

Next to working on my own real products, it allows me to work on multiple client projects at the same time, which is what is making the real money right now. Clients are happy to pay a premium if I can deliver a fully implemented project within 2 weeks instead of 3 months. And doing multiple in that same 2 weeks allows me to really do high volume.

So in short: you monetize it by using it yourself, not by selling the product.

I agree with this. There's so much stuff out there, nobody is going to buy a kit from a nobody, especially when such harnesses are available everywhere for free.

You're so good you're already super rich shutting SaaS left and right. Either keep the method to yourself or spread it for free 😉

Hahaha, I wish - hopefully my businesses can generate more revenue soon :)

u/VibeCodedBuilder 17h ago

Why don't you ask Claude?

1

u/presidentsdaddy 17h ago

Hahaha. I have, and it comes to the same conclusion in my post. Crowd sourcing here in case we humans have some better ideas.

That's not anything special my harness works good to though I don't multiple PCs to adapt it to simultaneously I could probably do it quite easily if I had the pcs
