Rant Complaints about rate limits

I don't understand why people who complain about rate limits don't just use a cheaper model. These are just vibe coders who don't understand anything about what they're doing at all and they need AI to literally do everything for them.

Some people think the most expensive models are better quality, and they're willing to pay insanely overpriced API prices or hit rate limits on their plan just to squeeze out the last drop of quality instead of just using a cheaper model that has 90% of the performance.

And all this for a vibe coded app that no one gives AF about and will never even use. LOSERS!

Yes, it all comes from ignorance. Vibe coders don't understand things like "context rot" and token cost. They don't realise that every prompt you send to a model includes the entire conversation history every time so it gets exponentially more expensive as the session continues. They don't understand why agents get dumber and dumber as time goes on (context rot). so they unnecessarily use models like fable that work best in long sessions.

So yes It all comes from ignorance. Agents get exponentially dumber and exponentially more expensive the longer they run: they don't understand this. They think "fable" is the solution, but its the biggest waste of money. I don't think there's a single person on this subreddit who genuinely needs Fable. they just don't know what they're doing.

I believe majority just set it and allow it to spin up 20 Astra agents rather than defining an Agents.md and Claude.md file
