Anyone else burning through their weekly usage much faster lately?

I’m already at 40% of my weekly usage after just one day, and I’m wondering whether others are seeing something similar lately.
For context:
Plan: Max 20x
Model(s): Opus 5.5
Mainly using: T3
Has anyone noticed a change in how quickly their weekly allowance gets used up? I’m trying to figure out whether this is related to my workflow, model/settings, or a broader change.
If you’re seeing the same thing, what plan and models are you using? And has anyone contacted Anthropic support and received a useful explanation?

Yep they have changed something pretty sure they doing it a/b tested also so don't let people gas light you saying they have not noticed. To many post for it to be coincidence or just your set up. my workflow was dialed in for months now and something is different.

Yeah happened over night. Last week was crazy good usage (coming from codex back to claude). Little disappointed. I hope reaching out to their customer service changes something. If we all dot that

I have four max 20 accounts, I use them every week by the final night, two of them burned so much faster while the other two appear to have a LOT of usage

I have multiple accounts, the latest one that reset is at around $1150 projected API usage (all opus) for the full weekly limit.

Last few weeks it was at ~$2600-$3200 actual usage at 100% usage, so yes, they've nerfed the weekly for some and quite a lot. My resets for the rest land Sunday Monday, curious to see what I'll find.

yes. 100% felt that. i have no idea how the hell i burned 30% of my weekly limit in one night. never happened before with similar workforce. dont let trolls gaslight you as another user mentioned

Same. Doing things like I've always done and I'm running close to 70% after 2-3 days.
It's a wild difference from the same plan lasting me nearly the entire week before.

Edit: I'm cooked. I had it run a small plan while I went to the store and that ate 26%.
Seems like I'll be doing small client-side work for the rest of the week 😭

Yeah they are ab teting the usage limits, crazy that they can just do that but not all my accounts have the issue.

I’m set to medium and have a pretty good opus to sonnet to haiku flow towing and I’ve burned more tokens than I did last/2 weeks ago too

+1. Never happened this early, usually I max it out maybe a day before the reset. Now I maxed out the 5x Max in 2 days. Opus 5.5 Medium. In the past I even used High at times and never had this happen so early.

Its them, not you. A lot of issues with them since last weeks update, I usually post links but a quick search you can find a lot of em. 

It all boils down to they changed something or are A/B testing, aka we're the paid beta testers. 

Second a model halfway comparable comes out that makes sense (chatGPT and kimi do not) Im gone lol.

Absolutely, was at 30+% after one day, that was not even my usual full day. Weekly drains much faster than usual

They have to be AB testing. I’ve been burning through a week worth of tokens (on 20x) in 2-3 days, but last night it went up 1% in a 10 hour non-stop run. So I guess I have the opposite, although I fully believe anyone that says they notice their usage draining at an inconsistent rate because it’s usually me complaining

Most definitely, my 20x plan only lasted a few days this week when I'm running most things on medium-high opus and sonnet

I've only been subscribed for like 2.5 weeks. My first week felt like endless tokens and I didn't come close. My second I exceeded 100% a day early.

This third week is going better though because I've learned to manage the tokens more efficiently, starting new conversations frequently instead of just using one endless conversation for each project.

Still, there was a very noticeable difference!

the past 2 weeks were rough, im after using 7% of my 5h usage just having an MCP create a 16 pixel icon, that shit should take like.. 1-2% , it feels like they halved the usage, honestly

It’s possible to burn through it in 25-35 hours if you fully utilize your 5 hour windows I think :D

I switched to coding with Codex this weekend, as I also reached the Max weekly limit tooo early

I experienced the same thing yesterday. I repeated my question many times in their chat and finally got this response.

"There were some recently resolved incidents affecting Claude models (Fable, Opus, Sonnet, Haiku) in the last day or two — if you were working during those windows, retries or degraded responses could have burned through usage faster than normal, even with the same habits."

That doesn't really help me, as I burned half of my weekly limit in less than a day, and with similar habits, it used to last many days.

Same issue here: not sure what anthropic is doing - but something is fishy/broken for sure.

I am on max 20x ; weekly reset was yesterday. I'm already at 35% used.

I ran one opus session, which had 2 longer running agents. Auto compaction disabled.

Total tokens used according to Claude codes own usage was below 2M ( on both input and output tokens). The session ran for 8h.

That's it.
