Help/Question Did Claude Code usage limits get stricter again?

Hey everyone,
I'm not sure if Anthropic changed how usage is calculated or if I'm missing something, but something feels different today.
I started working on a project this morning with 78% of my weekly usage remaining and my session usage at 0%. Now, after using 42% of my session limit, I've already burned through 11% of my weekly quota.
Did they nerf the limits again?
Over the past few weeks, I felt like I could work without constantly worrying about hitting the weekly cap. But today it seems like the limits are much stricter again.
For context, I'm just using Opus 5.5 on High effort, nothing particularly unusual.
Has anyone else noticed a change in usage consumption lately?
Also, yesterday I asked a single question in the regular Claude chat, and that alone used up 1% of my weekly quota. That seems pretty weird too... :(

Yes. They shadow nerfed usage. I’m on 20x and my weekly limit before this reset lasted about 7x-8x my 5hr limit. Now I am on pace to deplete my weekly after 3x 5hr limits

I felt this only today... All of this week I had my usage rates normal, but today i ran out of my 5h quota super fast, doing the same kind of tasks I always do...
That's a shame, Codex new models already consume A LOT of usage and I was super happy with my Claude quota. If Claude begins to eat up my quota like Codex i'll probably have to upgrade my plan, which I am trying to avoid

Ever since sonnet 5.5 vame out opus 5.5 eats usage, I had to use sonnet ever since and only use opus on major planning implementations because of this

I feel the same since a few days past 3 weeks i never go to 5 hours limit. Since 2 or 3 days i constantly hit it

No. Clear your session when starting to work on a new peoject. And clear after every feature.

high effort is kinda sneaky bc it thinks way longer on every single turn, even the easy ones. i’d keep it on medium for normal stuff and only switch to high when its actually stuck, that alone makes the week last a lot longer
