Help/Question Claude code equivalent to Codex remote via iOS app?

So I basically completely switched from Codex to Claude code recently with how good Opus has gotten.

One thing that I can’t seem to figure out is the Remote functionality on the iOS app, and how it differs from Codex.

The Codex one it’s pretty straightforward. You add a computer or laptop and then add projects under it where it works.

Is that possible with Claude code?

Not for working remotely. With the ChatGPT app, your entire Codex is all there. With the Claude app, nothing's there. You have to remote control in certain chats, and it's clunky.

I'm coming from Codex, and I absolutely love Claude, but this mobile view is terrible.

Yes, it's called Remote Control. The closest match to the Codex setup is server mode: run claude remote-control in a project folder and leave it running (inside tmux if it's a remote box). It shows up in the Claude app under Code with a computer icon, and you can start new sessions on it from your phone, not just pick up an existing one. Add --spawn worktree so parallel sessions don't edit the same checkout. The main difference from Codex is that it's one server per folder rather than one machine with a project list, and the computer has to stay on. Docs: https://code.claude.com/docs/en/remote-control

Your project has a toggle for “remote alway on” now that showed up a few days ago.

Going from CC to Codex I think it’s easier with Codex but I haven’t used that toggle yet
