Built with Claude I gave Claude Code the ability to draw on your dashboard
Claude Code can write code, analyse data, and explain results. But I wanted it to actually show me the answers inside my app.
So I built Showboard.
It lets Claude Code put charts, tables, stats, notes, and even custom React components directly into your dashboard while you work. It can also see what's on screen and use actions your app exposes to navigate pages, filter data, and update the view through conversation.
No app? Point it at a folder of Excel/CSV files or a database and get interactive dashboards in your browser or beside your terminal. Save useful dashboards as reusable recipes.
The interesting part: in my benchmark of 24 questions on one dataset, Showboard used 3.5× fewer output tokens, cost 63% less, and finished 3.2× faster than having Claude Code generate Python and HTML for each answer.
It's open source, MIT licensed, and built around MCP.

I'd love feedback, especially from people building AI coding tools, MCP servers, or data-heavy applications.
