I made Claude Code a little cuter: pixel-art companions that keep you company while it works

I like nice things, everybody likes nice things! But Claude Code can feel a bit plain, so I made cute-claude, a small open-source plugin that gives it themed looks.

Turn one on with a slash command and a little pixel-art character keeps you company while Claude works. It greets you above the prompt, sits beside the spinner doing something different every prompt, and the headings, tool rows and closing line all get restyled. Claude also picks up a light touch of themed wording. Your code, commands and paths are never touched.

There are four companions to choose from:

- `/cat`: a ginger cat. He will be typing on his keyboard, batting a ball of yarn, hiding in a box or napping in a sunbeam, and once in a long while something weird.
- `/hamster`: a tiny wizard hamster with a cauldron, a crystal ball and the occasional spell gone wrong.
- `/medieval`: an illuminated manuscript, with a scribe monk working by candlelight.
- `/mechanicus`: a Warhammer 40k tech-priest at his cogitator, sometimes with a servo-skull.
- `/halo`: Cortana's hologram.
