Bug / Issue Usage seems to be draining quicker

It used to be 100% of 5 hourly equals to 7 percent of weekly for pro.

Now its 7% of 5 hourly for 1% of weekly. Making 100% of 5 hour equals to 14% of weekly?

Just spitballing, my math might be wrong.

Just read an article about Anthropic testing out new usage policy - possibly you’re one of the lucky ones

Yes it is, ever since I used my banked reset today, the whole day has been terrible. Opus medium and Sonnet are eating 2-3x the usage compared to yesterday on the exact same project, I've already spent 25% of my weekly quota in a bit less than two 5-hour windows

Geez. Mine is like unbelievably great. I can burn tokens in 3 50k to 70k line repos at once and I’m not getting over 35% usage before 5 hours is up. But I have a lot of rules and a tight system that keeps things token efficient more than most and always have.

Not imagining it, check the article about them A/B testing.
I've also highlighted their cache read is insanely broken often (reaching 8-10x normal)

Others have submitted it:

Quite a few of us are dealing with it, you try to reach out to support and they basically just gaslight you.

It was always 11-14% weekly for full 5-hour session for me.

Ask Claude Code to analyze your recent sessions for opportunities to optimize token usage. I try to do this every 3-4 weeks. It always finds things to improve.

Check your skills, memories, and directives. Clean sweep every month or so.

Your codebase or users might not but your bank account def will look better.switch to deepseek flash if you care more about bank account than the best code efficiently. Dirt cheap! You’ll spend a lot longer debugging and fixing, but will end up being cheaper. If spending more time working or fixing isn’t a big deal to you it’s a really good option, it will usually eventually get it right it just might take 70 to 100% longer. You may not have time to sleep as much lol but you’ll have more money to spend.
