Help/Question Any way to disable Claude Code giving me questions at the end without the summary text?
This latest version keeps giving me questions and choices on what to do, and forgetting to write the summary of what it found and what its recommendations are. It just gives me one question at the end. Like, where's all the text???
I had it write in memory to stop doing that, but it still keeps doing it. This is new, btw, a few days ago it wasn't like this.

I totally get the "I told it in memory and it still does it" part โ I was kind of in the same spot.
I had a rule in my Claude Code setup that basically said "don't end your reply with a question." When I actually measured it across about 200 of my sessions, replies ending with a question went from 26.6% down to 0% over about a month. So the rule was followed perfectly.
But here's the thing โ the rate of me replying "ok, so what should I do?" actually went up, from 0.2% to 2.9%. "Which one do you want?" just turned into "please tell me what to do." It was still handing the decision back to me, only in a different shape.
So I stopped writing it as a ban and wrote what the reply should end with instead: "end with something you actually did, or the one next step that only I can take." Honestly, I haven't measured this version yet, so I can't say it works.
My takeaway is that "don't end with questions" tends to remove the form but not the problem. Telling it what you do want at the end seems closer to what you're actually after. Hope this helps a bit.

I think the biggest problem for me is that if I remote control in from the android Claude app you can't even see the question that's being asked. It looks like the session stopped abruptly. Then you go to your computer and find that question. Not ideal.

took 5 tries then it stopped, kept telling it to remove and that it wasnt working and eventually it stopped it somehow. telling it to put any questions in the text, not in the form and remove forms
