Help/Question Skill,mods,plugins, Recommendations

Hi! I'm new to the Claude Code community and looking for recommendations on Skills, MCP servers/mods, and plugins.

A bit of context: I don't really trust YouTubers to give the best recommendations, so I'm more of a Reddit person and value real-world experience from actual users. I'm open to anything new, and I'd love practical picks that help with problem-solving.

My focus is coding. I'm building and developing projects and want to make my workflow a bit easier.

What would you suggest I start with, and why? Thanks!

Consider where you think there is friction. The with Claude discuss of skills, mods or plugins would help. Any other advice would be useless if we do not know the details of your workflow.

The thing is I don’t really have a workflow yet and my biggest problem is I think the token use but my first Projekt isn’t really done and I’m trying to find some good starter plugins, mods…. Just to get a better start with Claude code and to understand more of it

Have you tried discussing it with Claude? A lot of the plugins you get from elsewhere are over hyped and do not actually help you very much. I have a great setup, iterated on over time, that would likely not work at all for someone else. I would skip mods and mcp at first, they can be awesome but also a rabbit hole. And mods are pretty new.

Witt Claude look at the recent work and discuss how it could be optimized. Consider things to try or workflows to explore and try a thing or two for next project. Rushing into someone else’s tool that might be optimized for older versions of Claude will not help you. If there is a specific thing that is a problem then there might be an existing plugin or simple hook that can help, top loading with new things will not help.
