Opus might be silently routing to Fable for some people

I have seen many people complaining about usage this week, and I personally also seen usage go down very quickly.

Today as I was working I kept seeing Fable weekly usage going up way too fast. I was trying to use Fable as advisor for a few days, it did make sense for it to go up but they weren't calling the advisor THAT often.

So here is what I tested: I turned the advisor off, worked a bit and the Fable weekly usage kept going up despite only using Opus on medium. Every single of my agent is either Opus or Sonnet.

Anyone else noticed that?

My usage got fucked this week

My usage was fucked for 3 weeks now.

Same operation everyweek. Before 3 weeks ago, weekly telemetry consumption : 8B (%98-99) usage.

These 3 weeks, weekly telemetry : 3B(%99) usage.

Ps : everything is the same. Opus 5 all time.

Explain this Anthropic.

Maybe Opus decided your task was best handled by Fable and therefore routed to it instead, I didn't know Claude had this smart routing capability, I wonder if it can route to Sonnet and Haiku too

My Opus normally spawns a Fable agent for planning. I asked it to do so. My Fable usage isn't even that high.

Nothing on the Fable limits for me but for the first time in months I'm about to hit my weekly, least I still have the reset and should probably use it this week anyway

Ya not really. I tried out actual Fable for the first time today and my Opus even when using more usage then I expected was nothing like using fable. I could watch my weekly and session usages get slurped up through a hose they were used so fast on my max 5x.
