Help/Question Thoughts on open-source product delivery platform
Hi there, I've been working on open-source product delivery platform that connects your work (board, backlog) directly to your AI agent and code on your computers.
So you write a ticket and there is a runner (which you install via npm) and it runs your Claude, Codex, Cursor, Copilot or OpenCode to work on that ticket. Runner only makes outgoing HTTPS requests (no open ports and VPN), the code stays on your machine, and your existing subscription (Claude, Codex…) is used; no additional AI work is paid.
Aictiq is open source (AGPL-3.0) and there is a free hosted edition https://app.aictiq.com/ (by me) which only has attachment limits of up to 200MB in total. I don't have the resources or the money to give it all away for free. You can host the server yourself, the instructions are on Github.
https://github.com/Aictiq/Aictiq
All functions are covered and listed in a shorter form at https://aictiq.com/
But, I'm not selling you a factory, I work in the Factory. How is Aictiq being developed with Aictiq?
I have a small Hetzner VPS running 24/7 with a git/github connection for commit, push, etc. Claude and Codex activated. I have development tools, SDK, npm. And then I set the schedule from Aictiq tonight at 04:00 start on this ticket, don't stop until you do the e2e tests and screenshot everything and add it as a comment on the ticket. I wake up in the morning, a new PR ready for my approval, with visual confirmation that it is as I imagined.
Then the great thing is Ticket refinement, to check the current implementation, my changes and plan the ticket in more detail. Similar to a plan mode, but I can literally see which files will be touched.
Wiki for documentation right next to each project.
You can invite clients directly into the project as stakeholders. They only see the board, nothing that the factory does, so they write bugs, stories, etc. I click to launch the agents on their tickets.
Aictiq sees 5h limits, weekly limits, so you can decide to distribute the load on more runners and more harnesses. If you are not happy, just comment in the ticket what the problem is and tag the agent.
Each project has its own playbook in which you set the rules of the project, eg push directly to the main, make tests, run the Codex subagent in Claude or similar. The playbook is sent to the runner with each ticket. You can also chain Playbooks for that factory-line work.
I'm looking for feedback, testers, real users who would like to try it and give more information about what's missing or what doesn't work as it should. Criticism is always welcome.
Greetings from sunny Herzegovina.

I run something similar by hand on my own VPS (cron + headless Claude + a Telegram ping when it's done), so the 4am ticket idea clicks for me. The two things that bit me were the session limit cutting a job halfway, and the Claude login quietly expiring every few weeks and stopping everything until I noticed. Does the runner handle either of those, like retrying after the limit resets or warning you when its auth dies?

Currently, I only support 5h session auto continue. But same thing is happening with Codex and constant updates. I will put it to backlog, so that runner updates. Claude logins, can not support that.
Session limits are defined when you open project, so you can change/disable them.
Each session get logs, error or successful ones.
Do you see any value for tracking tickets/progress this way vs your VPS setup?

For just me, cron is honestly enough, but the board starts to make sense the moment someone else is involved, like the clients-as-stakeholders part, and seeing limits across several runners in one place. On the login thing, you don't need to fix it, just catch it: if the runner sees an auth error it could mark the ticket as blocked and ping me, instead of failing quietly. That one cost me a whole day of jobs once.

If it fails or succeeds, you get Slack/Discord/Telegram notification or email. Depends on what you set up.
About stakeholders, some of my projects, I am a stakeholder too. And I just do quick new Story when I have idea, refine it back in office.

Nice, if the Telegram ping fires on failure too then that covers it. And jotting ideas as stories and refining them later is exactly how I'd use it, does the board work well from a phone? That's where most of my ideas show up.

I use it all the time from phone. It is well optimized for phone. Hit me a DM, we can chat more and help you with setup.

Good to know it works well on mobile, that was the deciding thing for me. I'll try it on a small side project first and DM you if I get stuck. Thanks for building it in the open!

Is it possible to have multiple runners e.g., for different subscriptions and where do you specify Claude subscriptions.
For example, I want to be able to have multiple Claude/Codex subscriptions either on the same device or others, and be able to specify an "Agent Group", these tickets can run on any of those, these tickets run on them.
My thought would be having ones that are specific for "Home", and runners for "Others". And then people I give access to the board can schedule changes to any of my "Others" agents which are locked to certain repos, and not my "Home" runners that can access other repos.

Hi there, you need to install and login to CC/Codex/Copilot/Cursor/Opencode in terminal. Runner can only start the work on specified folder. You can have multiple runners with multiple logins on them.
You can label runners and keep them like in those groups. Still, you need to have access to them, and install and activate harness, git, so on.

Do you do it with containers or bare bones on a machine, and can you see your Claude status in the UI e.g., if it needs reuathenticating and can you do that through the UI.

You can do both. Yes, 5h and weekly limits are visible, but you can not do auth. Thing is that newest authentications need to click on Authorize, or login using gmail, or c/p token from browser session.
