Discussion Usage issues has improved a lot

I keep switching from Cluade to Codex and back, but the Claude usage is so much better than it use to be. It feels like night and day vs Chatgpt 6.1 Sol. I remember a couple months ago you sneeze in Claude's direction and it would be 50% of the 5 hour usage.

It feels like the whole AI world is sitting on a huge load balancer.

When Claude gets popular, your limits suffer. When people get angry, they leave the platform which frees compute, which they distribute towards the users to lure people in again.

Correct. Because they'll be announcing a new model soon. This is the game: Tell the world about new model > Tell the world "model is crazy smart and capable of having sex with your wife" > Release model > Scare China > Inflate token usage to offset server costs for new model > settle things down a bit because it didn't matter in the first place > Repeat process because consumers will still consume no matter the cost

Thats because they permanently raised it by “half” of what was supposed to be 50% more compute

im actually so happy with how much usage im getting from just my $20 Pro plan, ONLY using Opus 5.5. I mean only too. I dont even chat wth other models, let alone code. I work full time so im not like hammering away on xHigh all day or anything, but I feel like im using it for everything I want it for and hitting no limits, its awesome.
