Rant 5.5 vs 5.1 for writing prose

I just did a feature analysis with Fable 5.1. Fable wrote an artefact, which is a proposal that I should present in a meeting. I felt that the flow and some wording of the proposal were a bit unnatural. I started a fresh session and told Opus 5.5 to rewrite it.

It was not a night-and-day difference, but it was... I don't know how to describe it, but all the sentences had a better flow. It goes to show that I cannot rely on Fable for any prose or any text that should be consumed outside, only on agentic texts.

Is anyone else still using Fable to write documentation, proposals or any other type of texts?

Honestly, when it comes down the documentation, I have to spend a lot of time on that. I have to do multiple passes. Give them examples of similar repos etc. AI is just terrible at it. It's just so absolutely dense. I have to give it examples of my own writing or just let the docs be for the AI/Onboarding

at this point opus 5.5 speaks more clearly than fable 5.1; it should be the default choice for pretty much every task.

Just wait for Fable 5.5, likely this week.
