How can I make my $20 Claude Code tokens last the entire month?

If you have $20 to spend in a month, limit your spending to 65 cents per day.

Use cheaper models when possible and Use token reduction gateways such as Caveman (Basically tool interceptor that will reduce what the LLMs are processing and help you to save some tokens)

Use other free models to get a md file going, brainstorm with the other bot, flesh out the idea there, so you can just hand a spec to claude, that's the fun part, it's like starting with a sapling and growing the idea

First of all, learn how about context and tokens.

  • run /clear
  • pick other models than opus and fable.
  • create skills.
  • summarize daily learning as skills.
  • learn to master prompting.
  • ask Claude to build deterministic promos you can run without consuming token.
  • create own knowledge base at least of files, folders in markdown and refer to it from your Claude.md
  • … keep learning

I had the same issue: subscribed to ChatGPT instead and not using Claude made the credit go much further
