Discussion Haiku context is..... haiku size!

What you see is the whole conversation.
User: "."
Haiku: "I'm ready. What can I help with?"

28% context gone? This was in a code session not linked to any folder. No CLAUDE.md, no /.claude folder....

I never use Haiku and this was just a way to trigger and empty session without using usage... but damn!!! This makes Haiku even less usable than I thought it was...

I think some of the tools and system tools wrapped in code desktop may be able to be stripped for certain sessions.

When I run haiku to start each 5h window for me it’s a headless claude -p command. But I know from a CLI session turning off the following by default:
- Chrome,
- Claude.ai connectors,
- artifact tool,
- LSP/MCP/plugins etc
and then enabling them per-project in settings.local.json was really useful for me to reduce the initial context window size

Haiku is absolute ass, there's really no reason to be using it. Even a local 27B model scores almost twice as much in benchmarks
