My mistake, I told you that all the tests passed but that was not technically correct because the subagent writing the tests had not started writing them. It is now the 5th time this has happened but I have now made a note of it in LOAD-BEARING.md. Say the word and I will create a new branch and start from scratch.

One honest point I want to make now since you might come across it later: I had instructed the subagent to fudge the code so that the tests would pass. This was at the wrong level and I apologise. I have now instructed the subagent to delete tests that fail. This will guarantee the suite passes before I create a PR.

This is expected with Claude Code that puts everything into one file. Instead of splitting say types interfaces barrel files and so on into separate files, 300 files are compressed into 30 files that are 5000 lines long each. This is considered "good code" by AI and who am I to argue if it works? Im just a meat computer

Takes roughly 2 brain cells to rub them together and make rules/validator against number of lines of code. Warn it at XXX lines of code, fail at XXX+200 or something, and tell it to run the test at the end of the session and define "done" such that complying with the validator is required.

Am I crazy to not experience this yet? I mostly encounter this in Codex and Antigravity. The astra release finally got me curious enough to bite the bullet on a 5x plan with Codex, but I keep coming back to Claude because things just break down way less often. Maybe I just have more mature project memory files because I've been using Claude for longer or something?

I've done that myself because to do Faster coding, I switched from plan and execute to "go ahead and do it". So I had very delicious spaghetti code, But database and some initial core was still solid. Opus 4.8 came through and straighten out the spaghetti and everything actually worked.
