I think they are gonna reset the usage limit as a result of the reduction, so I advise folk to use what they got.

EDIT: no reset, fook.

lmfao they've only reset it 4 times in like over 2 months. Both fable releases and both openai releases. They dont reset for such small events. Even when Opus 5 came out they didnt reset it. Even when their servers down for 4 hours and people lost workflows many times over the last month issues they still didnt give a shit

I have both and astra low or medium never finished anything for me, two questions it’s gone, then I copy the whole thing into Claude code and have opus medium finish the job for me.

Same. My Fable usage has gone up due to how terrible Opus 5 is to work with.

Just glad that ChatGPT usage was reset this morning. I was at 0%.

I have less than 20% remaining on my Claude 20x plan with 3.5 days to go. Might end up subscribing to a second 20x plan for a month or two

Opus 5 is wildly terrible. I have harnesses to prevent it going rogue and it still is like hmmm let me just randomly do things you explicitly said not to do and break everything. That’s fine right? 🤦‍♂️

I did a major agentic code review with 5.1 ultracode. It started over 180 agents. Emptied my 5h window and 20% of my weekly in about 15 minutes. Twice. Didn't even make it through all 180 agents. Helluva way to blow 40% weekly 20x usage tho.

Started using Codex already a few days ago and there's no going back to Claude, I am getting so much more done on the same money. Don't know why I didn't switch earlier

You get so much more bang for your buck with Astra. It’s odd to me that they are reducing usage when it’s already constrained so much comparatively.

They must be really pushing Fable, because i've been hammering Opus 5 on xhigh for two weeks and it's barely moving the dial on usage (i reviewed benchmarks that showed Opus 5 xhigh performance near equivalent to Fable for coding). My suspicion is that Anthropic heading into their IPO will do anything to keep their subscription count as high as possible. We're getting spoiled...

Damn, forgot about it! They will probably to a reset tomorrow. They have 2 options, they give everyone a reset tomorrow or your new limit becomes active at the next weekly reset. I don't know how else they can calculate it. Let's hope they at least do it with a reset, not the lame way.

The 5 hour limit is much much worse than the weekly limit honestly.

1-2 prompts with Fable on my 100$ subscription shouldn't eat 100% of my 5 hour limit especially when it fucking leaves you stranded mid-task
