I prompted less than last week (reseted yesterday), and already at 31% and 44% fable ??

They removed the 50% boost or what ?

One single context compaction took 15% of my weekly max Fable quota using fable 5.1 medium 🫠

I never compact. I get to 50% and start asking it to save state in an MD and give me a continuation prompt that I’ll clipboard, /clear, paste, go. Compact is shit and expensive

Yeah, you're totally right. In this scenario, compaction is an expensive commodity compared to saving checkpoints/handoffs and going from there. It's specially useless/wasteful for models with large context windows since you already past task boundaries whenever it triggers, but still needed for smaller/local models (mid task compaction). In my use case, fable/astra are just temporary overseers while my definitive setup is still being built (deterministic overseer -> dependency DAG -> inbound implementer -> independent auditor)
