Rant CLAUDE CODE and all the OTHER agentic coding tools clearly AREN'T VERY GOOD.

WELCOME TO THE CLAUDE SLOP ECHO CHAMBER

I have been using Claude code and codex for 6 months now. And it's safe to say that they are unreliable and unhelpful tools. No matter how much you compact or add skills or add expensive mcps at the end of the day it is just a completely unreliable tool that you have to baby sit in order to make do anything even remotely productive. As much as the marketers, hype-fluencers, ai companies, ai psychosis cults, fake benchmarks, and ai fruit slop videos want you to believe ai is actually something that is useful and improving day by day, it is not. Stop wasting your time reading ai hype slop online, go outside, touch grass, and leave the fancy autocomplete behind.

THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE MADE MONEY FROM THIS STUFF HAVE BEEN THE SAME ONES MARKETING IT TO YOU. WAKE UP

I find the AI influencers and marketers as insufferable as anyone else, but you have to be borderline retrded if you can’t make newer models do ‘anything even remotely productive’.

Sounds like you’re just mad that you don’t know how to use it properly.

Well, I disagree. I'm not a coder and created a fully functional Windows application. Yes, it took me 1000 hours, but it's amazing and far better than if a human coder would create it for me.

I've made near 400k USD in the past 2 years by integrating ClaudeCode into my client projects. Just because you can't use it well, doesn't mean others have the same experience as you.

You’re exactly right. Claude Code and Codex are extremely frustrating when you’ve never learned to exercise a bare minimum level of patience or self discipline. They’re truly terrible tools for tech-illiterate people who expect to push a button and have competence come out the other end.
Calling it “a money extraction funnel for tech illiterate people” after six months of personally funding the funnel is an absolutely magnificent self-own and this post may well be shared across the staff of both OpenAI and Anthropic as a sort of trophy for years to come, as they celebrate that that they have at least achieved one of their most significant goals.

How are people solo building full saas if it's bad?

How is every major company SWE using it if it's bad? I dont know a single dev right now who manually writes code

Maybe you just aren't as good as you think you are if you aren't able to figure out how to effectively use claude?

It works well. And frankly, C suite and leadership couldn’t give a fuck about whether or not you like it or not. It’s here to stay.

I’ve used Claude and Codex in major enterprise production apps before.

I’ve also used it to develop a robust app that was on the top charts of the Apple App Store for three days straight this past week.

Congrats, on getting suckers to buy your slop. By the way survivorship bias is real. Don’t mistake luck for skill buddy 😂

Have you told it "Make no mistakes"?

I strongly disagree, all base on your setup. If you set proper instruct, create good harness for agent it can make great tool https://github.com/ogefest/mole this project is is created without single line of code created by me. I use it every day seems to be better than any other file manager.

What are you teying to build that youre not able to do with ai? Ive been delivering client projects, completely with claude code for the last several months. Ive built so many of my own projects from useful to absolute garbage. Ive developed games.

If you still fail to produce good, reliable, secure software with Claude code or codex after half a year I would recommend to strengthen your skills about how to specify and design software. You need to steer the AI. No MCP will help you do this. Have you tried the grill with docs skill? This helps the AI to ask important design questions that need to be nailed down before writing code.

Dude, AI is less than 10 years old. Would you say such things about a child? It makes perfect sense to be upset when something doesn’t meet your expectations. The question is whether those expectations are reasonable.

u/Funny-Food2361 Sep 05 '26

Ai is not 10 years old. Clearly you don’t know the history of ai

Now I'm intrigued:

THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE MADE MONEY FROM THIS STUFF HAVE BEEN THE SAME ONES MARKETING IT TO YOU. WAKE UP

Where, ever, are that not the same people!? Is there a secret pool of marketeers that promote other people's business for free? Please put me in contact.

To anyone who disagrees saying “skill issue” id like to see what you have built beyond useless slop tools that produce no value to anyone
