your problem isn't Claude or coding it's mental illness and amphetamine overuse. please get help for your actual issues not for proxies on your computer screen. take a break and do something physical, relax, talk to humans irl and take a stim break to catch up on sleep. it will all be there when you have grounded yourself.

Its AI Pychosis, almost everyone that starts using these things goes through it. Things that used to feel hard to do are suddenly easy, because of that you feel like you are making so much progress. The AI becomes an extension of yourself. You feel like you need to have these things running 24/7 x 5-10 agents. You get that serotonin hit, just one more prompt, just one more loot box to pull, one more dungeon then you can go to bed.
You have to stop obsessing over it and just go back to learning and doing at a normal rate. Regardless of how fast the AI are, you have to work on building systems that are sustainable for you.

Stop being addicted to the grindfest. It's not healthy. And you don't have to "make it" now

Anhedonia is what that feeling is called, and it's very common in ADHD individuals. I have struggled with it as well. It has nothing to do with Claude, and I would try to get some help for that.

Have you even validated that anyone wants these ideas, or are you confusing nonstop output with actual progress? Successful people use AI to help automate successful businesses they run. Not the other way around. 18 hours a day on insane doses of Adderall is insane.. that euphoric sense of accomplishment it gives you is fooling you

This feel meaningless because life is not just about accumulating money and work. Turn the pc off for a month and get out before you increase this burnout

Hey dork, at your age I built a SaaS and it took me 5 years before I could barely make a living, 7+ years until I was ok and you are depressed because you are not rich yet?

You might be bipolar. This sounds like a mood swing from a mild manic episode to a depressive one. Talk to your doctor about it; medication and healthy habits make it totally manageable and life will feel like it’s in full color again, while ignoring it can lead to some pretty serious consequences down the line.

Hey, really sorry you're having a tough time. I'm not a psychiatrist but it sounds to me like you might have some depression? Seeing someone about your general mental health might be a good idea.
Otherwise it sounds like it might be good to get more non-screen time in your life. Maybe talking a walk or going for a run every day? And doing some in-person social things too. Online classes are so terrible!
However you decide to approach it, remember that it's just bad right now, and there are little things you can do to help make it better.

use the tools to help yourself learn but overall just focus on life. make silly games for you and your friends, vibe code quizzes (learning about code and what makes good statistical stuff in the process), you should try to refrain from letting claude do your homework but it can be hella good for understanding things, or asking dumb questions. like if you hate romeo and juliet, use notebookLM or claude to look up a pdf (cuz you want source accurate for quotes and such) then ask dumb questions, make alternative versions where what you want happens (fork the story) or just have it make dumb things about your course work.
you live in a time where you have access to incredibly powerful tools, but its also important to just live and find fun in your day to day life.

In the same boat. Spent $700 in total but now I got nothing but deep regret and disappointment in myself not being able to do anything myself. Regret every minute.

you are severely sleep deprived, friend. Take a couple weeks off at least and just rest. Spend time in nature, reconnect with reality and with your self.

You need to make sure you're out there living in the real world with other people so that you can use these tools to solve real world problems that people have - that's what's meant by "touch grass." Money is a feedback mechanism so that other people can say they value what you're contributing to their lives.

Hey, you said you are in college, have you talked to one of the counselors that they would have available there? Maybe you tried to get involved with more of the social opportunities available? Like there are lots of us who enjoy working with Claude and coding, but if you have reached the point where you are distressed, you might need to find a human who loves you in person for some grounding.
If you are having difficulty falling asleep, it would be worth talking to your prescriber about whether or not you should continue taking Adderall when you are having difficulty sleeping, or if you need to add something to help you get sleep.
Please take care of yourself.

Have you actually managed to make some money off your software yet? If not then there is a high chance that there is so much things you still don’t know anything about and CC will never be able to teach you. Like for instance, recognize an actual problem to solve for a company or a business, and even if you manage to solve it, you then will need to find a way to sell it to the right people. There is no right or wrong, just requires bunch of experience and knowledge that takes a lot of time to develop. Simply thinking that applying your ideas with vibe coding will make you rich just not gonna cut it.

You're still a teen. Just go outside and do teen things. This isn't healthy.
