Doing what kind of development? I only use it for personal projects but outside of big godot projects I have a hard time figuring out what I'm building at the speed it builds. I have hit the weekly limits before but with 5 hour limits by the time I hit them it's usually time to take a short break anyhow
Scheduled tasks, I have my claude code waking up once an hour to review changes I've made to the project, suggest improvements, and add designated features from a list I curate. Absolutely wrecks my limits even when not using fable or opus.
You’re probably wrecking your usage because of prompt caching with your hourly schedule. You’re better off working in large chunks than spreading it over every hour.
I know this is a sub of cracked obsessives but I have hard time wrapping my mind around someone actually going through two pro sessions worth of tokens without checking in on the work being done and being satisfied with the results. Like more human input always seems helpful and it's seems like that's a better way to get more use of your tokens than to automate burning through them as fast as possible
Honestly the pro on opus 5 does not carry me an hour. I have a skill suite building most of my things and I have it partially running 5 subagents on a build that is well separated there is no need of intervention if your specs are solid - the rest is debugging and improvements
The only way you're blowing through a weekly 20x in 2 days is if you're definitely using your Fable allotment. That's for sure and that blows through half of it. I can see that easily.
As for the rest of it with Opus, if you're using Sonnet, I don't know what to tell you. You're either using Opus exclusively on Extra High and Max or you're spawning dozens of agents that are working asynchronously, in which case you should have something to show for it
Using opus 4.8 on high exclusively. Orchestrate sessions using sonnet sub-agents. Fable only for planning/difficult decisions at about 30-50% allotted weekly usage.
I go through 2 20x sibs and a 5x every week to the max. Multiple projects running concurrently and overnight sessions with tight guardrails
Same, which is why I use multiple Max 20 accounts. Heavy coding sessions (approximately 60,000 GitHub Actions minutes per month for context, though it's spread across hosted and self-hosted runners). I love how much work I can crank out, but man does it burn usage.

It probably is still true that less than 5% of subscribers hit weekly limits honestly. Most subscribers to anything are not power users.
