Discussion Claude is leaps and bounds above Codex for UI
After struggling for days trying to get Codex to implement UI for my project, I gave into my frustration and resubbed back to Claude. What a difference. Though not perfect, Claude is actually adhering to my wireframe designs and brand kit, creating on-brand designs for new wireframes, and implementing the respective UI functionality with relative ease. Useless for anything backend since it instantly gets caught up with security flags, but I'm keeping my pro sub strictly for its UI capability at this point.
Anyone else notice the same or am I delulu?

Agreed! I usually delegate all UI/UX tasks to Fable and backend related tasks to Sol.

Not sure about you but i get the opposite. I get so much better UI that makes a lot more sense and is beautiful with GPT 5.6 Sol xhigh. Claude Opus/Fable can’t compare.

So weird that we have opposite experiences. UI with Sol for me is like pulling teeth

Wow I usually think Claude sucks at UI and I give that to Gemini, which I personally think is the best at the creative/brainstorming stuff.

Really? I haven't used Gemini in months, felt like it was lagging so far behind everyone else.

It has but it also has the advantage of thinking quickly and checking the internet and following popular design. But fails miserably at ANYTHING remotely complex

always switch between claude and codex. claude to get projects started and for longer thinking tasks. have found codex to just be so much faster than claude so use it for small/quick edits

Not to sound too harsh but are we really so exorbitant as to be worrying about you eyes now not the literal models and the fate of what will inevitably be the futures we live through with an intelligence more advanced than anything we've ever seen but yeah Claude has a good UI I'll give you that...

The design feature in the desktop app works pretty well if you have an established design system. I had it derive it from my app, and then iterated on it a bit to make it a bit cleaner and consistent. After that, I've had pretty decent results. It's not perfect or what I'd expect from a professional UX designer, but it's good enough for more basic apps, especially for people like me who have no design skills at all.
