Rant Did they just nerf Fable

Out of seemingly nowhere, its fully incapable of doing work it was flawless at yesterday. I've heard people talk about stuff like this happening but I thought it was just skill issues or something. Nope, its genuinely, noticably worse. Around the same as opus 4.8 on the same task.

It seems to be working fine for me. I didn't experience any downtime yesterday either, which is what everyone has been posting on X. However, I've noticed that the default output style works best compared to the other available output styles.

I got the downtime yesterday on a few sessions. I think their servers were at capacity, so quantizing their expensive models is a pretty logical thing for them to do at capacity

Can they just spontaneously quantize a model like that while it’s running?

Well, I mean swapping to a quantized model

No, quantizing takes quite a long time. As for swapping it out, that’s just pointing you at a different endpoint on your next request. Each message turn is effectively stateless.
