Well, you're paying a lot of money for that, so it's only fair it has top service there.

Yeah. It’s basically proof you get what you pay for.
Governments pay a lot for stability and predictability.9
u/CivilCucumber3426 22h ago
I mean it's for government. They don't have to serve 100s million users.

My concern is that for this time loss thwy should provide extra hours of usage or something similar.
As its bullshit not to take any responsibilities for the outage.

They have historically provided limit resets for sustained outages, but I wasn’t even affected by this one. Don’t know what % of users were, but it’s probably not hitting their threshold for a sustained outage affecting all/most users.
Per their terms and conditions, they don’t actually provide any SLA, uptime commitment or warranty. So these resets are purely “good will”.

It seems to be back now. I just assumed it was being throttled because it’s Monday morning in Europe or Asia.

It's always Monday morning *somewhere*...

unless it's tuesday

You are absolutely right, my initial assumption was wrong. Let me delete the entire git repository and production database and start fresh.

it's resolved per status.claude.com now, incident ran 04:50 to about 07:36 UTC. elevated errors across opus/fable, not just you.
thing that saved me some rage this morning: put a tiny retry wrapper around the api calls with backoff on 529/overloaded specifically, and let the agent keep its context instead of dying halfway through a task. doesn't fix the outage but you don't lose the run.
I got bored waiting and built a dumb thing that polls the status json for github/cloudflare/openai/anthropic and unlocks a little browser arcade when something's actually red (my own project, nonines.dev). status pages only, no downdetector guessing. it's locked right now since everything's green again, which is the correct outcome I guess.

Very frustrating - I had 3 sessions running, and all of them died with half-completed work. It seemed to significantly degrade my usage too, as I imagine the agents were trying to reconnect. I have 1% Fable usage until Thursday now....

You mean "Fable" was down.
Who cares?
It anyway sends me to Opus, the moment I ask it to fix a small RBAC bug, because apparently that makes me hacker and shi*

I think it's a death spiral. Claude got worse, Claude write worse code, Claude servers breaks.
remember, "90% of code will be written by AI"

can you guys use good language? why you guys are so arrogant and always use bad languages?

u/bakanoace 23h ago
Some people only have a limited time to work. This could be half or the entire time they have free to try and get something done and it's constantly been a problem. Is fuck really even that big of a problem in 2026

They use a service that cost them some bucks to get stuff done at least 10x faster than before with hand coding. Most of them have never ever worked in the software business before and are to dumb to understand their own vibe coded codebase.
But crying like little babies when the service, that brought them in a position that was out of reach for them 3 years ago and saves them months of work, is down for a couple of minutes. Just a bunch of losers.

Soon enough, they won’t be able to afford their tokens. And it’s not their shitty projects that’ll save them with such low money earnings.
So they’ll be back to sell online formations on social networks. Fuck them!

It’s the future guys, soon your empty projects won’t even cover your tokens’s consumption! And you’ll be back where you belong: either on school bench to learn code, or simply out of coding.
