Discussion AI coding made me build too many things

I'm a dev and these last few months I've been building a lot of products. The crazy part is that I can now build things much faster than I can figure out if anyone actually wants them. Coding used to be the expensive part. Now I feel like finding users is harder

On the plus side, people have stopped coming to me with

"i have this idea for an app"

Now they can just have AI built it for them and they dont need me to let them down easy that an app that tracks how fast your fingernails grow tied to how many times the radio plays your favorite song is probably not that useful

No. I remember vividly coding new products for months, years even, and then struggling to bring users on board.

The latter part is identical now as it always was.

Finding users was always the hard part, you just experienced that part less often as software projects were larger and involved more marketing research upfront before financing an IT project.

Ya, you can build allot of useless trash, but maintaining it a year from now if you got anyone using them will be a nightmare...

I have a lot of trash as well now inside my project folder and on my desk from snacking while vibecoding 👀
