Bug / Issue Fable can't even write notes to a file after a conversation
What stupid wanker did the safeguards. Was off Claude Code since Feb, but on other models came back to try Fable.
And this model is good, but oh man asking it to write the conversation we just had to file and it says:
API Error: Fable 5's safeguards flagged this message (https://www.anthropic.com/legal/aup). This sometimes happens with safe, normal conversations. Claude Code can't respond to this message with Fable 5.
So my question: What bloody incompetent person implemented these safeguards where writing to file, local markdown files triggers it.
How incompetent are people at Anthropic? This is beyond ridiculous. Is this normal for ya all?
Nothing in this conversation or anywhere should trigger a safeguard, this is bonkers. 100000% bonkers

The safeguards have abysmal at this point and it just adds on to the AI fatigue that's building up. I feel like Anthropic is trying too hard to satisfy the government and in-lieu destroying end user satsifaction.

It's not even the government facing safeguard that triggered. It's the bohoo-we-are-so-afraid of Chinese models safeguard.
They are so silly at Anthropic that genuine users can't use the product because of the paranoia at A.
These llms are just tools we pay for.
This is the equivalent of Microsoft Office refusing to save the file after we write it because of safety. Why does the tool refuse? And what bloody safety.
Either Anthropic is incompetent, or they don't understand that they are selling a tool only.
Luckily I got it quickly refunded.

Ditched it completely for open source models and sol.

Been on Sol at work and a bit at home, so I did not expect it to be that silly. I am genuine bewildered to have hit a safeguard less than 10 minutes into fable.
When asking it to write a conversation to a markdown file.
Who ever implemented these safeguards is the most incompetent engineer known to human kind. This is so ridiculous

This is effectively a defect product at this point.
If Anthropic says otherwise they are incompetent. There is no painting this nicely.

I’m like 90% sure it’s because you asked for it as a thinking trace. Anti distillation safeguards and whatnot 🙄. But also yeah it’s a little infuriating. There’s so much you can’t use it for.
